The Bahá’ís of India joined communities around the world in celebrating the Birth Anniversaries of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh, the Twin Manifestations of God and Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith. These sacred days, known as the Twin Holy Days, commemorate the births of the Báb—Who heralded the coming of a new era—and Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, Who proclaimed the oneness of humanity and revealed teachings to guide the spiritual and social transformation of the world. Together, Their lives and missions mark the beginning of a new age in the spiritual evolution of humankind.
Across India, believers and friends gathered in their homes and communities to observe these occasions with devotional programs, prayers, and readings from the Bahá’í Writings. In neighbourhoods, towns, and cities, the celebrations were enriched by artistic expressions—music, poetry, dance, and dramatic presentations—created to honour the beauty of the teachings and the spirit of renewal that these Holy Days represent. The atmosphere in these gatherings was one of joy, reverence, and reflection, as individuals and families celebrated the dawn of a new Dispensation and the hope it brings for humanity’s collective progress.
Many communities also hosted interfaith gatherings, welcoming people of diverse faiths and backgrounds to share in the spirit of unity and reverence. Through shared prayers and conversations, participants reflected on the enduring relevance of the teachings of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh in addressing the challenges of today’s world. These celebrations became a testament to the vision of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith—of a world united in peace, justice, and love—calling humanity to recognize its oneness and to work together for the advancement of civilization.
