Interfaith Meet in Mumbai Highlights Shared Vision of Peace and Unity

The Inter Religious Solidarity Council (IRSC), in collaboration with the Mumbai Bahá’í community, hosted an interfaith meeting at the Bahá’í Centre in Mumbai on August 23, 2025. The gathering brought together eminent representatives from diverse faith traditions, including Prabhu Keshav Chandra Das (ISKCON), Ranjit Singh (Bahá’í Faith), Fr. Gilbert D’Lima (Christianity), Bhante Bodhi’sheel Mahathero (Buddhism/Hinduism), and Irfan Engineer (Islam). The event commenced with a soul-stirring devotional chant setting the tone for meaningful dialogue.

The speakers highlighted the urgent need for unity, compassion, and justice in building a peaceful global society, emphasizing that humanity is one family. Speakers called for the elimination of prejudice, the pursuit of the independent investigation of truth, and collective work towards establishing harmony among nations. The IRSC reaffirmed its dedication to fostering interfaith solidarity, pledging continued efforts to promote understanding and cooperation among all communities.
