On 20 March Bahá’ís of India along with their fellow Bahá’ís throughout the world, celebrated Naw-Rúz, the Bahá’í New Year. The Bahá’í New Year (Naw-Rúz) coincides with the vernal equinox.

Naw-Rúz marks the end of the annual nineteen-day fast observed by Baha’is worldwide and signifies the onset of a new year. It is a joyous time of celebration for the Baha’i community, symbolizing spiritual renewal and unity.

In India, celebrations were held in homes and community centres in villages, towns and cities where thousands of people gathered together to pray, worship, and celebrate this occasion through artistic performances and festivities that incorporated elements of local culture.
